Mother’s Day Tea Party : DIY flower headband

Every good tea party is in need of a fancy accessory. Ours are usually adorned with posh feather boas and high heels. While we might still wear our high heels for our Mother’s Day tea party, I wanted to add a fun fancy accessory that we could make together at the party.

And, what better idea than a fancy hair headband? It’s a fun play on a party hat, but these are easier than a hat, and feel a little more girly. Both daughters was in love with the one I made tonight, and I am sure these are going to fast become a needed accessory for our daily wear.
What you will need:
Craft felt
Tacky glue or glue gun
Skinny headband

1 : Make your tissue flowers. Cut two pieces of craft felt into 4 inch by 5 1/2 inch oval. 2 : Glue the felt together, leaving a hole down the middle to slide your headband into. 3 : Glue the tissue flowers on to the top of your craft felt. 4 :  Keep gluing flowers until you have covered all of the felt. 5 : Let the glue dry and slide your headband through the hole in the felt. 6 : Wear your fancy headpiece for your fancy Mother’s Day tea party!
