4th of July : DIY confetti buttons

Does anyone else have fond memories of making their own campaign buttons with the Design-A-Button? I loved those things then, and apparently, still do.
I had originally picked these babies up for a different project, but couldn’t wait. I just had to put together a fun 4th of July button. Confetti wasn’t the first thing I thought of when I picked up the buttons, but it definitely is one of my new favorites to stuff inside these little plastic cases.

To make your own DIY confetti button you will need:
Scrapbook paper
Scissors
1: Cut a 2 1/2 inch circle out of the scrapbook paper. 2: Punch out a bunch of stars from various colored paper. 3: Open the Design-A-Button and sprinkle the stars inside. 4: Place the scrapbook paper, design down, on top of the stars. Pop back on the back of the button.
While one of the easiest DIY projects I have done in a long while, I am super excited to wear these buttons on the 4th!
Speaking of celebrating.. my husband is graduating medical school on Monday..¬†should I make a bunch of confetti filled “Congrats Grad” buttons and make all his family wear them? Oh it is so embarrassing to be married to me.
