An Easter party, of any shape or size, just isn’t complete without decorating Easter eggs! But, as I planned a little girl’s night for a group of 5 year olds, I did not want to have to deal with cups of dyes. So, I came up with a simpler, just as fun, and creative way for young kids to be able to still have fun decorating Easter eggs.I pre dipped the eggs in pink and yellow dye (our party colors) and am going to let the kids draw animal faces on the eggs – the dipped part of the egg being the “animal”. I had a lot of fun coming up with different animals, even if I did have my 2 year old pulling on my arm the entire time. She was having a blast telling me which animals to do. The bunny ended up being her favorite.
To make some little Easter egg bunnies and friends you will need:
White easter eggs – I actually got some dye-able plastic easter eggs at Walmart that work great! I love the idea of not having to refrigerate them or empty them. Perfect for a party.
Fine point black pens
How to make Easter egg bunnies and friends – 1: In advance, dip one side of the Easter eggs into egg dye. Let them dry. 2: Hand out an egg and fine point pen to each guest. Let them draw a face on their egg. It doesn’t get easier than that!
