Mr. Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Mr. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. All the king’s horses and all the king’s men were grateful Mr. Humpty Dumpty was actually made of plastic this year.
Looking for a fun and new way to decorate Easter eggs this weekend? Making Mr. Humpty Dumpty not only goes great with the holiday weekend, but also makes for a fun story telling and playtime.
I had already decided to make little egg men this year after seeing this guy. And, I’ve always loved old retro cartoon faces. So I just put the two together while the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme repeated over and over in my head.
I am glad I made these little Mr. Dumptys out of plastic eggs. My daughters love “character” toys and play with anything that even remotely could resemble a character. I saved myself a lot of rotten eggs by just going with plastic. And, we can all rest assured that Mr. Humpty Dumpty won’t be needing to be put back together after any great fall.
To make your own Mr. Humpty Dumpty Easy Easter Eggs, you will need:
fine point permanent marker
1: Dress your Mr. Humpty by dyeing the bottom half of the egg with the color of your choice. 2: Draw a face. Start with the basics – give him a nose and eyes. Then add a mustache (optional), mouth, chin, eyebrows, eye glass, etc. 3: Finish his clothes by adding a bow tie, skinny tie, buttons, pocket, etc.
